What We Do

The DSANWI serves individuals with Down syndrome in Northwest Indiana.  The DSANWI provides activities, services, and education for those of all ages of individuals in the ‘Region’ with Down Syndrome.  We also provide family support, education and opportunity to those wanting to volunteer and support those with Down Syndrome.  Check out our ‘Events’ tab to view the many activities available through the DSANWI.  Join us!

New Family Support

Individuals who receive a pre- or post-natal Down syndrome diagnosis are welcome to contact us for a caring and warm welcome to our community. Often a time when there are many questions, our many families are willing to help with answers, guidance and support. Feel free to page through our user profiles to see many happy faces contributing to making the region a vibrant place to live and work.

Raising Awareness

Our families are committed to correcting misinformation and perceptions about the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome. We encourage healthcare, education and business professionals to get to know our population and benefit from our friendship. We have individuals of all ages able to come out and speak to groups, classes or just meet on Zoom to get to know each other better.
